Internet Travel Business - Wintertime Honeymoon Vacation Ideas in the Yellowstone Area
They absolutely loved it. My son and his wife spent their honeymoon in West Yellowstone and the surrounding area just last December (2005). Yellowstone area is a big draw for honeymooners.
So here are some great honeymoon vacation ideas. Has helped me put this article together, being the romantic that she is, my wife. I've put together several sample agendas that take the work out of planning your honeymoon. There are some that want to squeeze as many activities as they can, still. When most people go on their honeymoon they don't particularly want a set agenda where they need to keep a schedule.
West Yellowstone Honeymoon
Sample Agenda #1
Eat breakfast at your hotel, wakeup.
Take a lunch. Make it a half-day or full-day excursion. There is really nothing like seeing Yellowstone with a blanket of snow covering everything. Take a guided snowmobile tour inside Yellowstone Park; another option. And go have a blast, get a good map of the trails in the West Yellowstone and Island Park area. After breakfast rent 2 snowmobiles from one of the local snowmobile shops.
Each show starts on the hour beginning at 9 am and running until 9 pm. Go to the Yellowstone IMAX, after eating.
They are at #19 Madison. Go to Bullwinkles Saloon and Eatery, if you haven't had dinner, when the show is over.
Go back to your room and relax.
Winter Sample Agenda #2
Wake up and get breakfast.
It's an activity that you can do for an hour or all day long. They can give you some basic instruction, if you're a novice. You can rent skis at any of the local shops. It's an olympic class trail. Go cross country skiing on the Rendezvous Trail System.
Jackson Hole Honeymoon
Winter Sample Agenda #3
Get breakfast.
Both offer great skiing. Snow King right in Jackson or Jackson Hole Mountain Resort at Teton Village; you have 2 resorts to choose from. Spend the rest of the day downhill skiing.
R, head back to your hotel for some R & after dinner. They have a several restaurants. Swing around to the west and stop at Teton Village, instead of driving straight back to Jackson, in the afternoon or evening when you get done with your hike.
Winter Sample Agenda #4
Get breakfast.
They depart 3 or 4 times every hour. Rides are on a first come first served basis. Drive to the elk refuge and take a sleigh ride out to feed the elk.
Get some lunch.
You can still get up the mountain on the Bridger Gondola, even though the main aerial tram is being replaced. That the tram will be closed until 2008, though, remember. In the afternoon go to Teton Village and take a tram ride up the hill and back.
Good stuff. Or vegetarian entree, filet of broiled salmon, they serve roast prime rib au jus. In the evening take a Solitude Cabin sleigh ride and dinner.
You can still glean from these ideas and do what you want at your leisure, if you don't like a set agenda. These are some good honeymoon vacation ideas for you to look over.
